A Reflection on 2020 - and How Our Panel and Recruitment Teams Have Continued to Deliver High Quality Market Research and Great Results

2020 has been a very different year for a lot of people, and for many reasons. We've seen huge changes, not only to the way we work and behave, but also to the ways that companies are now conducting market research projects, and the ways we learn about our consumers and target audiences. Here, we'll reflect on some of the bigger projects we've been working on throughout this year, and look forward to 2021 and what the future could bring to the world of market research.

As we come towards the end of 2020, MRFGR is fully operational as before. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any market research enquiries you have - while our offices are closed, our team will continue to monitor emails and are on hand to help with urgent projects.

Online Surveys

Online surveys have become a lot more common through 2020, with these offering a fantastic method of reaching swathes of people quickly. We have completed a variety of surveys within consumer, UX testing, healthcare, b2b and CATI, providing samples of pet owners, general population, students, residents of specific areas, and more. We've continued to offer our clients a flexible approach to online surveys with the availability to offer sample only or survey hosting / analysis & reporting as well if required.

Online / Remote Market Research

Before 2020, conducting research online was still an emerging trend but there was a clear preference for seeing respondents f2f for the majority of our clients. Speaking to them remotely was good for research conducted over large areas (such as the entirety of the UK), in locations difficult for the client to reach or with respondents who were very high level and thus wouldn't necessarily have the free time to come to viewing facility. However, a whopping 90% of our market research projects from this year have been conducted remotely. We continue to offer our clients full market research and recruitment-only solutions; so for those who are new to conducting research online, we are able to fully manage this process for them (this includes setting up the sessions and obtaining recordings), having worked with a variety of platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Team Meetings, Google Hangouts, Skype, WhatsApp Groups, amongst others.

F2F Research

We have still managed to conduct some F2F research this year, when government restrictions have allowed and, just as importantly, when it can be done in a safe way for everyone involved; this has typically been in limited capacity i.e. 'one in, one out' eye-tracking studies or socially distanced 1-on-1 interviews. We continue to offer this service when allowed by government restrictions and when it is safe to do so.

On to 2021

We very much look forward to seeing all of our clients again in the New Year and are excited to engage further in interesting market research projects. Please do stay safe in the meantime and do not hesitate to get in touch before then if you need us, as we'll continue to access our emails intermittently over the holiday period.
